Foam Liquid Storage Tank (Alias: Pressure Foam Tank):
The pressure foam tank is a pressure-type foam proportioning and mixing device, belonging to the core equipment of fire protection systems, mainly used for fire suppression in oil depots, chemical plants, aircraft hangars, and other high fire-risk facilities.
It works by storing foam concentrate, which is proportionally mixed with water to generate a foam solution for rapid fire extinguishing.
The device consists of a foam liquid pressure tank with a bladder and a pressure-type proportioning mixer, operating based on the Venturi principle. When water flows through the mixer, the pressure difference forces part of the water to compress the bladder, pushing the foam concentrate to mix with the water and form a foam solution, which is then discharged through foam generation equipment to produce fire-fighting foam.
The bladder isolation design prevents foam concentrate contamination, and any unused foam concentrate can be reused. The device supports high-, medium-, and low-expansion foam concentrates, compatible with various foam generation equipment, and features stable mixing ratio and low pressure loss.
According to application requirements, it can be divided into vertical, horizontal, and mobile types. A single tank volume does not exceed 5 m³; larger storage requirements are met by using multiple tanks in parallel.
The tank body is usually made of carbon steel or stainless steel, and is equipped with safety valves, liquid level indicators, and other components.
Main components: Tank body, bladder, proportioning mixer
